Horizon Zero Dawn Sequel Possibly Hinted By Guerrilla Games
Horizon Zero Dawn was a whirlwind of a game when it was released on PlayStation 4 in 2017 that feature stunning visual design and landscapes, enveloping narrative, and immersive motion-capture animation. It’s been more than two years since its release and Guerrilla Games may be hinting at a sequel to come, thanks to a public job listing on their official website.
Thanks to the hawk-eyed folks over at GamesRadar, additional information has been release on the the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel. With teasers on social media from the Guerrilla developers and even voice actors, a follow-up game to the 2017 title isn’t entirely a secret but it’s been awfully quiet behind their doors. Based on this listing for a Technical Vegetation Artist, they’ve certainly solidified the need for additional teammates to join the cause.
“Within Guerrilla, we have four teams dedicated to creating the stunning environments of Horizon,” reads part of the listing. “One team focuses on the creation of lush and stunning vegetation. We build these 3D models from scratch, so our world dressing teams can deliver our immersive world with industry-benchmark graphics.”
That’s not much to go on, but it’s enough to keep the community chugging along until the official announcement! Knowing the capabilities of their own proprietary Decima game engine, the same one used by Kojima Productions for Death Stranding, we can’t wait to see what Guerrilla Games brings to the table with the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn.
