Hitman 3 DLC Will Likely Be Reimagined Existing Locations, Says Developer

Hitman 3

Players have been taking to Hitman 3 to discover all of the best ways to eliminate the assigned targets, even taking a stab at doing it as quick as possible. That said, the devs at IO Interactive recently spoke about what to expect in terms of DLC and it looks like they will be bringing back some existing locations.

During a recent interview with The Gamer, executive producer Forest Swartout Large confirmed that IOI is very much still working on more Hitman content for the latest release. When asked if Hitman 3’s ending was meant to mean more adventures would be on the way, Large said, “We’re continuously working on Hitman so we are already looking to the future.”

Large later noted that the Hitman 3 dev team is “definitely going to be doing some DLC,” but they aren’t exactly sure what that consists of yet. They mention that the team is not looking at new maps, but instead considering bringing some locations from previous titles to the latest entry. “We’re more looking at using existing locations and reimagining them, twisting them,” Large said. “And this time around, we can use the whole trilogy. We can look back at Hitman 2016 maps, Hitman 2 maps – we have all the locations.”

It will be interesting to see where Hitman 3 sends Agent 47 back to in future DLC, but for the time being, the recently released game is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Xbox One, and new-gen consoles.
