Hellboy Invades Brawlhalla With New Characters Coming Soon

Fighting games are all the rage these days with titles such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Mortal Kombat 11 consistently seeing strong fan support as well as a bevy of new content on the way. Popular Norse-inspired fighting title Brawlhalla is no different, the game now set to debut a new third-party fighter from of Dark Horse comic character Hellboy.

Recently announced by publisher Ubisoft, Brawlhalla is parnering with Lionsgate and Millennium Media to add four new Legends to the game, all of which based on characters from the upcoming Hellboy movie. The likes of ancient witch character Nimue, withered pig-man Gruagach, werejaguar Ben Daimio, and Hellboy himself have been confirmed to debut in the free-to-play brawler, the new DLC scheduled to go live sometime next month. A peek at what the foursome will look like was shown off in a piece of offical artwork, seen below.

The addition of all these new characters adds to an already beefy roster packed with over 40 members. Among them are an assortment of well-rounded heroes with a Norse mythology spin, all of which fighting in the name of limitless Glory (the game’s in-game currency). Though it may seem so, Hellboy won’t the first third-party inclusion of the game, as the likes of Ubisoft character Rayman also joined Brawlhalla’s legendary ranks late last year.

Brawlhalla is out now for Nintendo Switch, Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Hellboy DLC is scheduled to debut sometime in April.
