Final Fantasy XIV's Zenos Revealed As Next Dissidia NT Character (VIDEO)

This past week saw the release of the free edition of Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT, just a few short months after the final promised DLC character, Snow Villiers, made his official debut. While many (like myself) believed Snow to be the last new character addition, Square Enix is seemingly far from finished supporting the title, as it has been announced that Final Fantasy XIV’s Zenos Yae Galvus is the next character to officially join the roster. Square Enix made the announcement with a new character reveal trailer, which can be seen below:

Square Enix finally added a Samurai-type fighter to Dissidia NT, and no, I don’t count Sephiroth. Zenos is in my opinion the best Final Fantasy XIV villain to date, and the ease with which he beats the crap out of poor Y’shtola should cast any doubts about that from your mind. Accompanying the reveal trailer is a longer gameplay video wherein Zenos’ skillset is shown off by the devs during the Final Fantasy XIV Fanfest. Check it out below:

Here’s the short description of the new character from Square Enix:

“In FFXIV, Zenos is a fierce general of the Garlean Empire and Legatus of the XIIth, an elite combat unit. For him, battle itself is a grand hunt, and he is always in search of worthy prey.”

FFXIV’s Zenos Yae Galvus will release on both the PC and PS4 versions of Dissidia NT with an update on April 11. The Japanese arcade version of the game will be getting Zenos on March 26, though he is currently playable at Fanfest. Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT is now available for PC and PlayStation 4.
