Halo 6 Will Not be Making an Appearance at E3 Next Month

Halo 6

After Microsoft already said that Halo 6 won’t be arriving at any point in 2017, it comes as little surprise that fans won’t even be seeing it at E3 in June. You read that correctly – Halo 6 will not be making an appearance at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. It’s possible that they don’t have much to show, but there may also be another reason. Microsoft may not want anything overshadowing their highly-anticipated upcoming console. Project Scorpio, and the games that will be available at launch, will surely be the focus of the event.

It was discovered that Halo 6 won’t be making an E3 appearance this year when community manager Brian Jarrard replied to a comment on Reddit. A user on the popular site responded to an update that was posted, saying that it was nice, “but I’m hoping in about a month we’ll be looking at a community update holds some nice little tidbits for the future of the franchise.” This, of course, is alluding to the next installment in the franchise being revealed at the expo next month. Unfortunately, Jarrard replied to user ArtooFeva, crushing their dreams in an instant. Here is what he said:

I’ll slip into my Dreamcrusher persona for a minute in the name of realistic expectations: We’ve said this already but we’ll have a little something at E3 but it’s not related to the next major entry in the franchise.”

Since we aren’t getting anything on Halo 6 at E3, what is this “little something” he speaks of? It might be a safe bet to assume it’s Halo Wars 2, but there could also be something else that is dying to see the light of day. As for the next installment in the franchise, it could be until late 2018 or 2019 that gamers see the release of the title. Sadly, nothing will be known until the June 11 briefing at E3, and even longer until Halo 6 details. Don’t Feed the Gamers will have boots on the ground at the expo, so be sure to stay tuned in case Microsoft or 343 Industries has anything up their sleeves.
