H1Z1 Celebrates New Outbreak Map With A New Trailer (VIDEO)
Fans of H1Z1 have been waiting for new PC content for a while now and Daybreak Game Company has some exciting news for patient players. The developer has released a new update for the PC version bringing in some new features and a map. The prospect is an exciting one, especially the fact that the new map is a remade version of a fan favorite.
Fans may remember the map Z1 in H1Z1, a classic that the company has remastered and remade into a new map called Outbreak. The map features a similar layout and the majority of landmarks in the original map, however, players will notice some changes to the map they experienced in Early Access. To accompany the new map is a fancy new trailer to watch while fans get their update on:
Of course, the H1Z1 update isn’t just bringing a new map as developers are taking the opportunity to provide some fixes and adjustments. Some mechanics are changing, with adjustments coming to the AK-47 and AR-15 along with jump animations. Players can check out the full list of changes coming below:
- Spawn selection has been disabled in all Outbreak game modes.
- The AR-15 and AK-47 have been adjusted to allow two to three (depending on how fast you’re firing) extra shots put on target before recoil growth kicks in. This does not affect tapping shot behavior.
- The AR-15 and AK-47 are now 60% more accurate when hip-firing.
- Crouch fatigue has been removed, so players are no longer restricted with the crouch action regardless of how often it is used.
- Jump animations have been shortened to provide a more responsive jump action, allowing players to jump more frequently without having to wait for animations to complete. Additionally, player momentum and velocity persist in the direction of the jump, allowing you to freely aim and look around without prematurely shortening your leap.
- Running and sprinting animations have been restored to Preseason 3 versions, with the Rifle class of weapons having a prominent forward-facing position.
- Much-beloved bullet impact sounds have returned. Helmet break, headshot, and laminated/makeshift armor break sounds are all back from Preseason 3.
Clearly, the developers are looking to create a more streamlined, balanced, and enjoyable experience for players. The update is available now for download on PC. Be sure to keep up with Don’t Feed the Gamers for all of your gaming needs!
