GTA Online Adds ‘Rocket League’ Inspired Mode In Latest Update (VIDEO)
The Grand Theft Auto series sure has evolved from its origins as a simple crime simulator, having grown to encompass all meanings of the term “open world” over the last few years. In addition to all the usual carjacking debauchery, the newest installment GTA Online hasn’t been shy about introducing experiences one wouldn’t normally associate with the franchise, the latest addition apparently being a game of Soccar.
Recently revealed by Rockstar Games, the latest entry to GTA Online’s stunt-driven Arena War mode has introduced a very familiar new mission called Bomb Ball. This competitive mode sees players utilize their vehicles to maneuver large explosive balls into the other team’s goal, gameplay strikingly similar to Psyonix’s Rocket League. However, the main difference seems to be the presence of several balls at once, a number being rigged to explode if not scored within a set time limit. A short video of Bomb Ball in action can be viewed below.
