Girl Power! All-Female Director Powerhouse Team Confirmed for Second Season Of Jessica Jones
Marvel’s Jessica Jones swept across the Netflix universe and took Marvel fans by storm. It tastefully and tactfully touched upon sensitive subjects as it addressed the relationship between Jessica and Kilgrave, a man with the power to control human action which he used to obtain our super strong anti-heroine.
While the Transform Hollywood Symposium was happening, Executive Producer Melissa Rosenberg announced that all 13 upcoming episodes of the show will be directed by women.

The series has already brought on Raelle Tucker (True Blood, The Returned) who will be joining as executive producer as well as a writer, although she was executive producer for the first episode of Jessica Jones. Rosenberg’s also spoke to Marvel’s continuous efforts to bring in more females into the superhero world.
Jessica Jones may not be released until near 2018 due to the huge Marvel overtaking of Netflix (Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist) with aspirations of The Defenders being released beforehand. Don’t be discouraged, friends! The new season will definitely touch upon the fallout after Kilgrave as well as a having multitude of new antagonists to join the show!
