Ghost Of Tsushima Launch Trailer Released (VIDEO)
While many media releases have seen delays this year, most of the major video game titles set to release have been able to do so with only minimal delays. One such title is Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima. The PlayStation 4 exclusive set in feudal Japan is prepared to be released this Friday, July 17th, with it available now for pre-downloading. With a 35 GB file size, it will surely be an expansive, beautiful world to discover. To help hype fans for its release, Sony and Sucker Punch have unveiled a new Ghost of Tsushima launch trailer.
Sony released the Ghost of Tsushima launch trailer on their official PlayStation YouTube channel. The trailer shows protagonist Jin Sakai traversing the gorgeous natural locations in Japan that have been recreated in the game. Sakai has been a faithful keeper of the samurai code who must weigh the quandary of breaking aspects said code to defend Japan from the invading Mongol empire led by Khotun Khan. In the gameplay, Sakai is seen sneaking around Mongol camps and fortresses, sneakily eliminating these enemies until the odds are in his favor for a traditional katana battle.
Aside from his trusty blade, it appears that Sakai can also utilize flaming arrows and explosives to eliminate opponents as well. After years of hype, this Ghost of Tsushima launch trailer really seems to indicate that Sucker Punch has been able to stick the landing and create an experience that immerses players in late 13th century Japan. Hopefully the game is a financial success so more of Japan’s history can be explored, and maybe even other cultures as well. Let us hope those histories do not become Ghosts lost to time.
