New Game of Thrones Season 7 Images Give a Glimpse at What’s on the Way (GALLERY)
With the penultimate season of HBO’s hit show set to debut in just a few days, more and more is being revealed about what’s on the way for our favorite characters. With everything on the line for the inhabitants of the Seven Kingdoms, it’s up to a mighty handful of kings and queens to rally the troops and protect everyone from the impending doom that is Winter. White Walkers are inbound and many of the key characters have their eyes on the Iron Throne. Seeing as the show has now surpassed the timeline of the unfinished series of books, there is no telling what is to come. However, a few Game of Thrones season 7 images released by HBO might give us an idea.
The season premiere, which is set to debut on Sunday, July 16, is titled “Dragonstone”. This, of course, is the name of the castle that stands in Blackwater Bay and is home to House Targaryen. Combine that with the synopsis for the episode, which reads “Jon (Kit Harington) organizes the defense of the North. Cersei (Lena Headey) tries to even the odds. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) comes home,” and we might conclude that it will focus on the mother of dragons. In the gallery below, we can also see Daenerys standing before the throne at Dragonstone. We also get a good look at other happenings around the Seven Kingdoms. Check out the Game of Thrones season 7 images for yourself:
There is sure to be a lot going on for Jon Snow and gang in the upcoming season, so grab your goblets and pour some wine, for it’s about to be bloody in Wintertime.
