Winter Has Arrived in New Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer (VIDEO)

Game of Thrones Season 7

While it may be the first day of summer, winter has certainly shown up in a big way. A new Game of Thrones season 7 trailer has arrived, and it brings a great look at what is to come with it. The video opens with Sansa Stark walking through a snow-covered forest of sorts, all while Petyr Baelish is offering up a bit of advice, saying “Don’t fight in the North. Or the South. Fight every battle everywhere. Always. In your mind.”

Cut to a montage of the key players in Game of Thrones season 7, each in their respectful domain. Jon is playing in the snow, Cersei is in her castle, Daenerys is readying for battle, Arya’s seemingly on her way home, and everybody else is seen doing their own thing. Snow takes over on narration duties and begins to mention how things used to be when everyone’s families fought alongside one another to defeat their common enemies. He warns that in order to survive, they must all do the same – put aside their differences and defeat the impending doom that is winter. Check it out in the video below:

The new Game of Thrones season 7 trailer certainly provides a lot of hype for fans. With the first episode set to air on July 16, the upcoming season will be the shortest to date. While it will only contain seven episodes, the last one of the group will run for a total of 81 minutes, which will be the longest in the show’s history. The premiere is only a few short weeks away, so allow us to reiterate Sansa’s dramatic prophecy:

When the snows fall, and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.”
