Free Xbox Live for Everyone This Weekend, Including Minecraft for the Xbox One
For this weekend only, not only is there free Xbox Live for everyone until Sunday 11:59PM PST, but so is the Xbox One version of Minecraft. For as long as the game has been out and having sold a whopping 121 million copies as of February, there’s no doubt that most have tried or heard of it. However, there are plenty of people who thought “eh, it ain’t my cup of tea” at first glance. With this weekend, everyone is given an opportunity to try it out without any sort of commitment.
Whether it’s boredom or curiosity, it doesn’t hurt to spend a few minutes to completely rule it out or find some enjoyment. Well, as long as you own an Xbox One that is. After the weekend has concluded, the game will prompt for a cost of $20 for Minecraft and $60 for an Xbox Live membership. It’s certainly not cheap, but every so often there are sales on both. Even if you miss out on the opportunity this weekend, there are always free gaming weekends in the future.
Furthermore, game developing studios are always looking for more players. In the past, titles like Titanfall, The Division, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, and Overwatch. Often times, they’re followed up with a sale! So, for those of whom play on more than one platform or not, there’s always chances in the future.
So, gamers, will you be giving the free Xbox Live weekend a try? What about testing out Minecraft?
