Free Battle Royale Mode Coming to Fortnite Soon – Here’s the Details! (VIDEO)
Developer Epic Games has announced a free Battle Royale mode for their co-op sandbox survival game Fortnite that closely resembles the setup of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Just 100 players, 1 map, and the last player standing wins! They even drop players into the world using a flying “battle bus”, which is also very similar to PUBG‘s airplane.
Starting on September 26th, Fornite‘s Battle Royale mode will be free to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Once it’s launched, the developers have some cosmetic items that they plan to put up for sale, but no worries, none of the items sold will affect the gameplay or give any one player an advantage over the others. Fortnite is still in paid Early Access, but next year it will be entirely free to play. The title’s PvE campaign that’s called Save the World is also getting some awesome updates soon which include Halloween themed content and a “Block Party” mode.
