Frank O’Connor Says it is Going to be a “Good Week” for Halo Fans

Halo fans

Twitter can be a wonderful place to connect with your favorite game developers, directors, and all around awesome people. It is also a place where these very creators can capitalize on the factors of suspense and the unknown. That is exactly what Frank O’Connor has done recently. Just ahead of RTX in Austin, he has achieved this by taking to Twitter to let everyone know that Halo fans know that it is going to “be a good week” for them. He also mentions that it will be a good week for himself. Check it out for yourself:

O’Connor, the franchise director for Halo, will be joined by multiplayer director Tom French, Microsoft Studios senior creative director Joseph Staten, and Rooster Teeth co-founder Burnie Burns on a panel that takes place at the event. With the potential news that might be announced during said panel, it is probably safe to say that this is when the week will improve for Halo fans. It will take place in meeting room 9 on Saturday, July 8 at 11 AM CT.

The RTX event will also have other things for Halo fans to enjoy. Players will get a chance to check out some of the already announced things coming to the franchise, including the Terminus Firefight mode coming with the Awakening the Nightmare expansion for Halo Wars 2. You can check out everything that will be available at booth #331 this weekend right here, but here are a few goodies that will be present:

  • BOOMco “Halo Carnival Shoot-Out” that lets you make both friends and foes out of fellow participants – and potentially some 343 staff as well. Come on, don’t act like you wouldn’t just love lighting some of us up with a Needler – we read the forums. We’ll also have plenty of prizes to reward expert marksmanship.
  • Straight from the E3 show floor to the hallowed halls of RTX, we’ll have the freshly-announced Terminus Firefight mode playable, included with this fall’s Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare expansion.
  • More Halo hands-on goodness! Stop by, play some Halo and maybe even win a prize.
  • A whole lotta loot! An epic array of awesome Halo and Loot Crate products to purchase and procure, so be sure you grab one of those 64-cubic-foot-volume anime-covered bags they always give out on the show floor to haul your haul around the hall in.

What say you, Halo fans? Will any of you be present at this year’s RTX in Austin? What do you think will be announced that will make this particular week a good one? Also, which BBQ places should O’Connor be going to while there? Sound off in the comments section below, and be sure to follow DFTG on Twitter for live gaming and entertainment news 24/7!
