Final Fantasy XIV Starlight Celebration 2020 Event Details Revealed

With Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.4 having now arrived, players of the popular MMORPG have already begun to take their first steps into the latest content brought to the game by Naoki Yoshida and his team. If that’s not enough content to enjoy, Square Enix has also officially announced this year’s iteration of the Starlight Celebration event, which is slated to kick off next week.

Square Enix took to the Final Fantasy XIV website to reveal what’s to come in the Starlight Celebration 2020. The event itself kicks off on December 14, 2020 at 12:00 a.m. and runs until Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 6:59 a.m. (PST). To start the event quest, players will need to visit Amh Garanjv, located in Old Gridania at Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre.

As for the goodies that can be acquired from participating in the event, they are shown above! From left to right, players will be able to obtain the Snow-dusted Tree Outdoor Furnishing, a Snowman Bell that can be used to summon your own Snowman mount, and a Wall-mounted Unmelting Ice Loft. Not shown there is the Unmelting Ice Partition Furnishing, which will function like a normal wall partition.

Here’s the breakdown of the upcoming event:

“The chill of winter returns to Eorzea once more, heralding the arrival of the Starlight Celebration. Preparations for this year’s festivities are well underway, or at least, they should be. A young man of abundant wealth and self-assurance─and considerably less abundant Starlight spirit─has been tasked with overseeing the event, and his plans for the season appear to be anything but promising. Amh Garanjy is seeking help from anyone and everyone in the hopes of pulling off a Starlight miracle.”

Final Fantasy XIV is now available for PC and PS4.
