Final Fantasy XIV’s Moonfire Faire Summer Event Revealed

Final Fantasy XIV

The folks over at Square Enix have announced this year’s iteration of Final Fantasy XIV’s Moonfire Faire Summer event, revealing yet another butt-tastical photo (shown above) to go with it. That’s right Square Enix, we see you. Moving on, as usual, the Moonfire Faire encourages players to step away from the latest expansion’s perilous enemies to enjoy some light-hearted fun in the sun, with enticing rewards such as new cosmetic items, furnishings, and more.

Those looking forward to the event needn’t wait long, as it begins on Wednesday, August 7, and runs all the way through Monday, August 26. The beginning of the quest that accompanies the event will take place in Limsa Lominsa on the Upper Decks, and it can be started by speaking with Mayaru Moyaru. The only prerequisite is that players be at least level 30.

Final Fantasy XIV's Moonfire Faire Summer Event Revealed

As always, there’s plenty to look forward to during the Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire event. Those that complete the quest will earn currency that can be used to unlock a few unique cosmetic items such as painted masks and ‘Moonfire Happi’, with the available house furnishings including a portal pool, a wind chime stand, and more.

As always, it’s important to note that these seasonal quests cannot be completed after the event has concluded. Thankfully, Square Enix is giving us almost a full three weeks, so it should be pretty easy to knock out all the content from the event within an hour or two.

The Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers expansion is now available for PC and PlayStation 4.
