In 2003, Square Enix launched an adorable action-RPG for Gamecube titled in the Final Fantasy franchise titled Crystal Chronicles. Players got to choose between four different character races before setting off on a caravan journey across the world. In search of rare trees that produced Myrrh in order to refuel their village’s crystal, you’ll explore dungeons, encounter challenging foes, and navigate various puzzles to bring the precious material back home. Now, you can set off on the adventure once more (or for the first time) on the Nintendo Switch with remastered visuals.

“Since long ago, the dangerous gas miasma has threatened to consume the world. Crystals hold back the gas, but their power is not eternal. Follow the journey of four classes of adventurers on a perilous mission to protect their home,” says Square Enix. “These are the ‘Crystal Chronicles.’ FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES Remastered Edition features an online multiplayer mode allowing you to caravan with friends wherever they may be. And now, you can keep the adventure close at hand by playing on smartphones!”
