What to Expect this February from Xbox Live Games with Gold

If you are an owner of an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One then you should be familiar with the Games with Gold program. Each month, Xbox Live subscribers receive the opportunity to download a combined total of up to 4 free games from the Xbox Live marketplace. The games are available with 2 being released for Xbox One and 2 for Xbox 360, which can also be played on the Xbox One with backwards compatibility. Here’s what we can expect this next month from Games with Gold:

Xbox Live

First up for the Xbox One lineup we have an independently developed title Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a 1-4 player game that takes players on a journey to explore a “neon galaxy” in your very own customizable battleship. The game normally goes for $14.99 on the Xbox Live Market place but will be free to Gold members for the entire month of February.

Take control of turrets, lasers, shields and thrusters, using teamwork to triumph over the evil forces of Anti-Love.

The second title up for grabs is Bandai Namco’s Project Cars Digital Edition. This game is said to be the incarnation of “next-generation racing simulation” and has the stamp of approval from racing game fans as well as real life drivers. Project Cars Digital Edition includes a Limited Edition upgrade DLC pack, which unlocks 5 legendary cars available for any game mode. The game normally retails at $29.99 but with a Gold membership, it will be free from February 16th – March 15th.

As for the Xbox 360 games that are free this February we are looking at the Monkey Island 2: Special Edition being first up, available between February 1st through the 15th. The game usually retails for $9.99 on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

More Pirates! More Adventure! More Monkeys! Relive the second hilarious swashbuckling misadventure of the wannabe pirate Guybrush Threepwood as he searches for the lost treasure of Big Whoop, attempts to win back the beautiful Elaine Marley and takes on the now evil zombie pirate, LeChuck!

Lastly, we have between February 16th and 28th the epic adventures of a Sith apprentice in Lucasarts Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Follow the journey of Lord Vader’s secret apprentice, Starkiller, as he scours the galaxy hunting down Jedi Masters on familiar and some not so familiar worlds within the Star Wars universe. Unleash the Force within to destroy all who stand in your way with devastating attacks and utter brutality in your ultimate quest to do Darth Vader’s bidding and earn your master’s trust.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed usually retails for $19.99 on the Xbox Live Marketplace but will be free to Gold Subscribers for the latter half of February.
