Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Quarantine Delayed Due To Pandemic
This year has been quite the interesting one to say the least, with delays being fairly common in the video game industry. We’ve recently seen Cyberpunk 2077 delayed once again, and we will likely continue to see more delays over the next few months and possibly beyond. That said, Ubisoft has officially delayed Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine.
During a recent earnings call (via Polygon), Ubisoft revealed that they hit a few snags in development during the first half of the 2020-2021 fiscal year. In the midst of this news, they also noted that both Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine have been delayed until their next fiscal year, which begins April 1, 2021. The Far Cry dev team also took to Twitter to let fans know that the game will no longer be arriving next February.

Far Cry 6 was originally set to launch on February 18th of next year, while Rainbow Six Quarantine was supposed to arrive at some point this year. However, with the ongoing pandemic and devs having to work from home, delays were likely expected. After all, there is only so much that can be done outside of a studio, and while everything can likely be achieved at home, it may not be as efficient. Either way, we will hopefully learn more about each title in the near future.
Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine are now slated to arrive at some point after April 1, 2021. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
