Fallout 76 Will Have 6 Different Regions To Explore, Scales To Level

Several details surround Fallout 76 have already been explored when Bethesda and company reveal major features of the game at Quake Con last month. From private servers and mod support, SPECIAL cards, to punishing assholes, the developers have the community covered. And that’s not even the tip of the iceberg as there’s more to this multiplayer entry into the Fallout universe.

Sitting down with Game Informer, the developers behind Fallout 76 deep dive into more details surrounding the game. Speaking to the vastness of the maps, the game features 6 different regions to explore. Even though the entirety of the game scales to player level, the difficulty of certain areas remain. The Cranberry Bogs for example are “really, really hard.”

Game director, Todd Howard, didn’t divulge too much in terms of what players will see once the new game launches. Know what that means? This game won’t be easy for the faint of heart. Despite the fact that Fallout 76 will scale to level, Bethesda wants to offer a challenge to those looking for it. In fact, monsters and foes may spawn anywhere between level 40-60 depending on the area and your personal level.

It’s more of a zoned game and more level-jumped than our previous stuff. Some of the feedback we’ve gotten is, ‘I’m just going to run across the map. I died. It got hard.’ There’s a reason for that. We have higher-level zones.”

With that said, there will be instances where traveling in a pack is a better tactical approach. Even if you’re a lone wolf, sometimes you need to set aside that pride to take out that monstrous Diseased Mega Sloth or Grafton Monster. Team up with up to 3 other players (four total) to rid of those stubborn obstacles and be on your way.
