Epic Games Store Now Live, Offering A Free Game Bi-Weekly (VIDEO)
From the same company that developed and published the hit game Fortnite is an online marketplace with a developer-friendly motto to drive up quality rather than quantity. The Epic Games store is now live and alongside it launched some familiar series and studios. More will come in the future as the store grows, but Epic Games is excited to share their new endeavor.
Celebrated with a launch trailer, the Epic Games Store launched with the freshly introduced Hades from Supergiant Games, Ashen by Annapurna/A44, and Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek by tinybuild. Check it out below:
“The Epic Games store is now open, featuring awesome high-quality games from other developers,” says Epic. “Our goal is to bring you great games, and to give game developers a better deal: they receive 88% of the money you spend, versus only 70% elsewhere. This helps developers succeed and make more of the games you love.”
There may only be three games available for now, but the company is excited to see where this new adventure takes them and the developers that work with them. They intend to expand their library and, as a matter of fact, they’ll be offering free games every 2 weeks. The first one will arrive on December 14th until the 27th, so you better act fast once it’s here!
