Dragon Quest XI Mini-Games Detailed, Includes Horse Racing and Casino Slots
Even though a western release has not been announced for the game yet, it’s good to know what can be expected when it does, including all the Dragon Quest XI mini-games and activities to be had! In the latest official website update for the game, Square Enix reveals a few new details and screenshots (translated by Gematsu).
Most of these activities have been seen in previous installments within the Dragon Quest franchise and now they’re making a comeback with the latest game. While it goes without saying that there will indeed be quests, it doesn’t hurt to let gamers know a few of the challenges ahead! Take a look at the list and gallery below:
Dragon Quest XI Mini-Games and Activities
Casino Slots
- At the casino, you can exchange the coins you have on hand to enjoy various games such as the slots and roulette. You can exchange the coins you earn for wonderful prizes. You may even be able to acquire valuable items.
- There’s poker, roulette, and slots
Horse Racing
- Horse racing is popular sport in some countries. Compete against famous knights to determine the best horse rider. If you win, you will receive a prize.
- There are giant pumpkins, ramps, and other obstacles to overcome
Quests
- There are many people with troubles in the world and it is the hero’s duty to help them out. By doing so, you will receive rewards. In the middle of resolving a problem, you may encounter tough enemies.
Small Medals
- All over the world, you can sometimes find “Small Medals.” It is said that there is someone somewhere in the world who will give you wonderful rewards in exchange for them. Collect these medals to get rewards
- Certain locations will allow you to exchange these medals for items and rewards
Dragon Quest XI will debut in Japan on July 29th, 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS. A Switch release is in the works, but a finalized date has not been confirmed.
