DOTA 2 Patch 7.00 Intergrates New HUD, New Talents, and the Monkey King
Recently Valve has been teasing their next huge upcoming patch for Defense of the Ancients 2, revealing the release of the Monkey King, along with hints of hero changes and HUD updates. It didn’t take long for a leaked copy of the patch notes to make its way onto the big wide web that is the internet. While these were met with skepticism, as all “leaked” patch notes do, it appears now that they were correct.
And now the wait is (nearly) over, as everything has now been confirmed with the DOTA 2 Patch 7.00 website going live, revealing a whole heap of new information, including things like:
- Monkey King new hero
- New HUD
- Gameplay changes
- Hero remodels
- Talents and talent trees
The Patch is set to go live sometime within the next 24 hours of when this article was written and many people are excited for these changes, especially the talent trees and new hero. And let’s face it, this update is going to be massive. There are so many changes, including making the game more visually pleasing as well as making every game different with all the possibilities from the new talent trees.
Take your first steps into the lands of The New Journey, with features like Hero Talents and Backpack slots, a host of map changes, and an extensive list of other gameplay adjustments, the battle for the Ancients will never be the same again.”
It certainly sounds exciting, and it’s easy to see why people are getting so amped about this, but understandably some are concerned that the extensive changes will give the game such a different feel that they will not enjoy it as much, likening the talent tree to that of Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm.
What are your thoughts on the update? Are you looking forward to playing the new hero? Maybe you are more interested in the aesthetics? Let us know in the comments below.
