DOOM VFR Revealed at Bethesda’s E3 Presentation (VIDEO)
Virtual reality has become more of the norm in recent years, with the library of games seemingly growing by the day. Up until recently, however, it seemed that not many developers and publishers were willing to take a risk by bringing AAA titles to the platform. Of course, as the technology grew and became more accessible, the ideas for content became more creative. Now, thanks to a reveal trailer during Bethesda’s E3 presentation, gamers have a wonderful look at the upcoming DOOM VFR.
Imagine going through the horrifying waves of demons, but in VR. Sounds awesome, right? Okay, it may not be for everyone, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good thing. Plenty of gamers love terrifying games, especially when they become incredibly immersive. That looks to be the goal of DOOM VFR – put players in the fight and bring the fright. As the video begins, fans will see a VR headset spin around and end with viewers seeing what’s inside. Here, gamers will experience a moment of familiarity, followed by pure awesome. Throw in that iconic Mick Gordon soundtrack, and we’re off to the races. DOOM VFR is developed by id Software and it is expected out this year for PlayStation VR and VIVE platforms.
