New DOOM Annihilation Movie Details, Images, And Synopsis Revealed

The original DOOM film from 2005 will receive its well-deserved reboot later this year. Despite the fact that the titled DOOM film didn’t get a chance to reveal itself with a bang, a few minor details have been revealed since then. Director Tony Giglio was sad to report that the Barons of Hell won’t be making their cameo in the 2019 premiere, but there’s a future for DOOM movie productions. More than that, however, Universal 1440 Entertainment reveals a first-look at the new DOOM Annihilation movie with an official synopsis and images.

Yes, it’s official. The reboot is titled “Doom Annihilation.” Based on the official synopsis provided by Dread Central, the space marines have been confirmed as the same UAC marines from the video game franchise. It reads: “DOOM: ANNIHILATION follows a group of space marines as they respond to a distress call from a base on a Martian moon, only to discover it’s been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth.“

Furthermore, Universal revealed three images from the set. Check them out:

Doom Annihilation is written and directed by Tony Giglio, alongside executive producers Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and John Wells, Jeffery Beach, Phillip Roth, and Ogden Gavanski as producers. Stars of the film include Amy Manson, Dominic Mafham, Luke Allen-Gale, and Nina Bergman.
