New Destiny 2 Leak Suggests Trials Of Osiris Return

As Destiny 2 gets into full swing of Season of Dawn, fans are surely wondering what the multiplayer shooter may have planned for the next round of proceedings. While there’s certainly some speculation making the rounds online, one of the most interesting looks to be alleging the return of the Trials of Osiris, bringing back the popular Egypt-themed Crucible event from the first Destiny.

As recently reported by Prima Games, this past week saw excited fans speculate about Trials of Osiris’s return following the introduction of a recent Destiny 2 update. While the update itself didn’t add anything crucial to the experience (the opposite, in fact), data miners nonetheless scoured the patch for clues regarding what Bungie may have planned. In an exciting development, Twitter user GinsorKR has now discovered a definitive reference to Trials of Osiris as well as an upcoming event called ‘Season of the Worthy.’

Such intriguing references being found in Destiny 2 files surely appears to point towards the return of Trials. However, as this isn’t anywhere near an official announcement, these findings might be best served with a few grains of salt until an official announcement takes place. As the leak didn’t point the way of a release date for Season of the Worthy, any potential for an announcement for the event or Trials of Osiris might not arrive for a while. Though, its reference in an official update may suggest something is coming soon.

Destiny 2 is out now for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Season of Dawn is currently live in the game until March 9th.
