Destiny 2 Final Raid Boss Beaten With Just Two Players With NO EXPLOIT This Time (VIDEO)

Emperor Calus

There is no shortage of players seeing impressive moves done in the world of Destiny 2 and proclaiming loudly “CHALLENGE ACCEPTED”. Previously, the infamously challenging Leviathan Raid boss in Destiny 2 was taken out by a two player fire team – but some weren’t all that impressed when it was revealed that they took advantage of an exploit to do it. Now – that exploit has been taken out of the equation and the reigning champs can take their crown and know that they deserve their every bit of 15 seconds of fame:

The team this time is comprised of Gladd and ITS Iron as they take on Emperor Calus head on, fair and square. Throughout the video above, Gladd talks about their impressive feat and how they were able to do it without taking advantage of that so, so very tempting exploit that allows players to halt the spawning of enemies in the throne room. He contributes their success to the decision to strafe as “sliding from left to right and right to left helps you avoid purple blasts.” By meleeing psions, forward momentum of players becomes a bit more controlled which lessens the likelihood of being sucked into the late barrier spawn.

There are quite a few helpful tips in their documented success, including which abilities to use, how to select the correct psions (he says the correct one is never the one diagonal called “the symbol”), and what type of gear to equip. This wasn’t a first time try either, they were very clear that the 25 hours of attempts prior to this feat were “very stressful”, making the successful completion all the more rewarding. So great job, guys! Well played and well earned!

Destiny 2 is out now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC release slated for October 24th. What were your thoughts on this two man win? Were you impressed?
