Deadpool 2 has had no shortage of clever promotional tactics to get fans hyped for the release of the film. Now in theaters, fans have flocked to the big screen to watch the Merc with the Mouth tackle his next big challenge. By way of saying thanks, Ryan Reynolds released a Golden Girls mashup video on Instagram to thank fans for their patronage.

The video below features a montage of scenes from the Deadpool 2 movie set to the theme song from Golden Girls. Complete with character introductions similar to that of the original TV show, the video is quite hilarious. Watch it for yourself below:

The Deadpool 2 video above has all the makings of a classic sitcom opening. From the cheesy character introductions like “Wade Wilson as Deadpool” and “Nathan Summers as Cable”. Ending on “Thanks for being a friend” really drives the appreciation home while also sticking to Deadpool’s fourth-wall breaking, pop culture referencing humor.

The Deadpool 2 video was also shared on the Deadpool Movie official Twitter account, generating an outpouring of excitement from those who have seen the movie, and those who have not. The film, starring Ryan Reynolds, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, and Brianna Hilderbrand is in theaters now. Including Cable, the X-Force, and a slew of surprise cameos, this is definitely a one up for the franchise.
