Dead Rising 4 has less than a month before the game’s release and fan excitement is only growing with each day. To keep the momentum going, developers have finally released more information on the upcoming title’s game play and with that, we’ve learned who the monstrous characters are. Previously known as Psychopaths, the developers have renamed the crazed survivors Maniacs, and they come with their own brand of chaos. In a recent video release, we’ve gotten a chance to see exactly how deadly these new bosses can be, but one Maniac we can’t wait to fight is none other than Santa Claus. Yes, a killer Santa Claus, which is fitting for the holiday season. Take a look at the video below to see exactly how intense these particular boss fights will be:

Set in Willamette, Colorado, Frank West has returned to the game series to wreck havoc against the monsters we love to hate. As you seek out the Maniacs, you must solve puzzles in order to meet them and fight to the death, utilizing a broad array of weapons at your disposal. Going hand-in-hand with our holiday-themed villain, Frank West will also be endowed with holiday themed weaponry just for that particular boss-fight.

The Dead Rising franchise has always been quite a bit over the top for players, but that’s what makes it so fun for everyone. Combining the “selfie” achievement, your previously seen “slow moving” zombies, and some fresh killer corpses with more challenging speed and agility (and of course the killer Kris Kringle), this game is sure to be a hit for fans everywhere. In fact, everyone is so excited for this popular game series’ newest release, developers took to the web to piggy-back onto the thrills of the Red Dead Redemption announcement to create a Dead Rising Parody of the reveal image for the anticipated Rockstar title.
