The Game Awards 2016 World Premiere of Free to Play PC Game: Dauntless [VIDEO]
Exciting announcements continue to roll out at this year’s Game Awards in Los Angeles, California. Jesse Houston takes the stage, a veteran of huge developers like BioWare, as he announces his latest project, the free to play game Dauntless by Phoenix Labs. Check out the World Premiere below:
As you can see in the trailer, the art composition is simplistic – it blends a cartoonish style that almost seems reminiscent of Battleborn, older Final Fantasies, and Fable. The trailer above puts us in the shoes of a female warrior with a broadsword almost as big as she is. Coming together with a group of fellow fighters, they come upon a man stumbling out of a destroyed forest only to be faced with a gigantic creature enveloped in shadows.
The battle ensues and is on its way in 2017. Check out the website to sign up for the beta! No confirmed date so far, but we will keep you posted here at DFTG! And as always, don’t forget to sound off with your thoughts on Dauntless and the Game Awards so far in the comments below!
