Cyberpunk 2077 Pre- Keanu Johnny Silverhand Concept Art Revealed
Keanu Reeves first met with CD Projekt RED way back in 2018 and eventually became the now-legendary character Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. While the actor’s voice and visual appearance are a perfect fit for the character now that the game has been released, it seems as though this wasn’t always going to be the case. New concept art has been revealed showing off a Johnny Silverhand that looks vastly different from the end product in Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projekt RED’s senior concept artist and coordinator Lea Leonowicz recently posted some intriguing concept art showing off some pre-Keanu Johnny Silverhand images that shar the 1980’s rocker style that the character features in the final version of the game. Still, even with the many similarities, there are a few different alternatives to the look fans see in the final product of the game. In some, the character even seems to have his prosthetic arm on the right instead of the left. Other pieces of concept art even depict the various tattoos and scars that the character has. Leonowicz also shared some other pre-production concept art from the game back in 2014, just a few days before releasing the art from Silverhand. It’s entirely possible that the two were created around a similar time frame, but who’s to say for sure.
It’s definitely interesting to see what Johnny Silverhand could have looked like before Keanu Reeves got on board with the project. At this point, though, it’s hard to imagine what somebody else would look like in the role. Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.
