Cyberpunk 2077 Does Not Feature Dual-Wielding, Developer Confirms

Cyberpunk 2077 trailer Night City Wire

With every passing day, we gain ground on the highly anticipated release of Cyberpunk 2077. Now that eyes are forward to whenever the next Night City Wire will be, fans are looking for all of the information they can get their hands on. However, a recent exchange on Twitter likely brought some dreams crashing down as it was confirmed that dual-wielding is not part of the game.

Following a recent post showing off some weaponry found in The World of Cyberpunk 2077 book, one fan asked if dual-wielding was a feature in the game. After all, taking a look at some of the sleek weapons that will be part of the experience, one might wonder such things. Unfortunately, CDPR global community lead Marcin Momot confirmed that it is not.

Sadly, that’s as far as the response went, but it does appear that Cyberpunk 2077 players will not be able to dual-wield weapons during their playthrough. Of course, this does make one wonder if this will also apply to implanted tech such as the notable Mantis Blades. We’ve seen them in previous trailers and art for the upcoming futuristic game, so it definitely seems like players will be able to install a Mantis Blade in each arm. Either way, the launch day needs to hurry up, even if we can only hold one weapon at a time.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One with an expected launch set for November 19th. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
