Cyberpunk 2077: Multiple Purchasable Apartments Will Be Available

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is the gift that keeps on giving. After five years of radio silence, a single tweet sparked the fire that continues to burn to this very day. CD Projekt RED brought the heat with them to this year’s E3, showing off a beautiful trailer as well as a lengthy gameplay demo (to select professionals and members of the media). That said, the developer has officially unveiled the footage we’ve all been dying to see, and many questions are beginning to rise from such a glorious experience.

One such query to pop up is in regards to the space in which V, the main protagonist, will live. Sure, we know we’ll be representing some of Night City’s best and most badass, but where will we lay our heads at night? Something the narrator said in the gameplay demo ignited such curiosity, leading to one person asking CDPR what the living situation will be in Cyberpunk 2077. Specifically, will there be multiple apartments to purchase? Check out the exchange below:

Cyberpunk 2077

While the developer didn’t exactly spell all of the details out in the Facebook message, that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate. There’s a strong possibility that purchasing apartments in Cyberpunk 2077 will work similarly to the likes of Grand Theft Auto. Get the cash, find the apartment, and buy it. Simple as can be.

However, CDPR is clearly pushing for a more realistic approach with their upcoming RPG, which raises a few questions. Will there be background checks when renting an apartment in Night City? Are there going to be multiple lease options? Will pets be allowed? Does credit score factor into a landlord’s decision? Is credit score a thing in this world? Which utilities will be included with rent? Can any of the megacorporations prevent you from finding a viable home? The theoretical possibilities are endless.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but no launch date is in sight. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
