Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps the biggest title that gamers are looking forward to seeing in 2020. As has been detailed by CD Projekt Red, the game will be enormous, not just in terms of the size of its open world, but also by the gameplay aspects that will be implemented in the game to make the experience as dynamic and lifelike as possible. CD Projekt Red has chosen to provide information about these various systems in a series of new videos in which various members of their development team describe features like weapon skill progression. Now, a new video has been released describing Cyberpunk 2077 character interactions, and how the player’s life path choices will affect them.

CD Projekt Red released the new Cyberpunk 2077 character interactions video on their official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account. In the video, Quest Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz mentions all of the role playing elements that will be offered to the player, and describes the “life paths” system that will impact character interactions. It seems that at the beginning, players will make different choices about their character’s backstory that will influence their skills, including conversing with NPCs.

The specific example Tomaszkiewicz gives is the choice players will have between choosing a character who grew up on the streets, or one that has been more familiar with a corporate environment. A streetwise character will thus have an easier time talking to NPC street gangs, while a corporate backstory will give the player an advantage when strategizing against those in the business world. It will be interesting to see what other backstory options the player will be given, and it just goes to show how much care that CD Projekt Red is putting into this vibrant world of the future. It certainly seems like no matter what choices the player makes, it will definitely be breathtaking.
