Critical Role Comic Sequel Revealed
Critical Role is a popular webseries where “a bunch of nerdy ass voice actors sit around and play Dungeons & Dragons.” Earlier this year, a comic called Vox Machina: Origins was released by Dark Horse which focused on the earliest adventures of the Vox Machina crew of the show’s first campaign. For fans of the adapted series, an exciting new sequel has been announced!
The Critical Role crew began playing the Vox Machina campaign as a house game and there were a few adventures that were not captured within the show. The Origins comics hope to fill in the sequel focusing on Percy and Pike, two characters who were absent from the first arc of the series. The series is written by by Matthew Colville, illustrated by Olivia Samson – one of the show’s “Critters,” with coloring and lettering by Chris Northrop. Alongside the announcement of the sequel to Origins, the team also released a couple of teaser images which can be found below:
The Vox Machina campaign is the first that was featured on Critical Role and has finished, however the crew has a second campaign which is currently ongoing that follows “The Mighty Nein” on their adventures. Fans can catch the stream for the show here on Twitch or on YouTube. If you miss the Streams – don’t worry, episodes are always uploaded at a later time.
The second arc of Vox Machina: Origins is set to release in 2019. Have you been following the adventures of Critical Role?
