Contra Anniversary Collection Revealed By Konami
Earlier this year, the folks over at Konami announced its upcoming Contra Anniversary Collection. Taking after the Castlevania Anniversary Collection that officially released earlier this month, the celebratory collection of iconic games was slated to include a mix of mainstream titles and games that were previously only released in certain regions of the world. Now, Konami has released the full list of games that will be included in the collection.
Konami has revealed that the Contra Anniversary Collection will include a mixture of Arcade, NES, and Famicom versions of Contra, which contain minor variations depending on the various limitations of the hardware. Moving forward in time, Contra: Hard Corps from the Sega Genesis makes an appearance, as do Contra III: The Alien Wars and Super Probotector: Alien Rebels, both from the SNES. Check out the full list below:
- Contra (Arcade)
- Contra (NES)
- Contra (Famicom)
- Super Contra (Arcade)
- Super C (NES)
- Contra III: The Alien Wars (SNES)
- Super Probotector: Alien Rebels (SNES)
- Contra: Hard Corps (Sega Genesis)
- Probotector (Sega Mega Drive)
- Operation C (Game Boy)
There currently isn’t an official release date for the collection, though it is expected to arrive later this summer for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam for $20.
