Code Vein Releases New 1080p Screenshots Of Epic Cut Scenes And More (GALLERY)

Bandai Namco’s Code Vein releases brand new 1080p screenshots of some of the game’s animated cut scenes, user interface, new characters, locations, and more. In the latest batch of images, the publisher reveals the master-level artistry of Ufotable, the studio responsible for creating animation for games, TV shows, and video games such as the Tales of series, God Eater, Fate Zero, Fate/Stay Night, and many others. One of their trademark abilities is the successful execution of epic cut scenes.

Never before seen characters like Mia Karnstein’s adorable little brother with her likeness of piercing blue eyes and golden-blonde hair, Nicola. A brand new location called the “Ridge of Frozen Souls” is featured with several captured stills of the main character traversing the snowy terrain, storms, and precarious mountain pass. The area’s greatest challenges lies in its “limited visibility, narrow ledges, deep snow, and an ice-covered cave.”

Code Vein releases screenshots on special attacks that can be utilized during combat as well. One Blood Veil called Ivy pierces enemies from a distance with moves of quick succession, which then grows thorns on the ground and inside the enemy to tear them apart. Other Blood Veils revealed in previous teasers and screenshots were shown in the above images as well such as Ogre, Yakumo Shinonome’s Hounds, and Mia Karnstein’s Stinger.

There are the availability of Blood Codes, additions made to Blood Veils that vary per character and even allows the inheritance of abilities from the previous owner. As a few examples, there’s Ranger Blood, which will be useful during dungeons, Hunger Blood for ranged combat, and Berserker for close combat and damage. How’s that for the latest batch of screenshots? Check out some of the screenshots below to see for yourself:

Code Vein is expected to release in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. What are your thoughts on the game so far?
