Civilization VI Announced For PlayStation 4, Xbox One (VIDEO)

Today marked the presentation of another PlayStation State of Play, giving fans of Sony’s platform a number of exciting announcements to look forward to for the remainder of the year. While we’ve seen such reveals as the stunning story for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a release date for The Last of Us: Part II, and a new lineup of PS Plus selections, players were also greeted with the news that Civilization VI will be joining the PS4 on November 22nd.

The reveal was made through a fun new trailer, detailing all the content players can expect when getting the game at launch. In addition to the main game, the aforementioned November date will also see the release of the Expansion Bundle, a DLC pack of both Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions, with each containing oodles of extra add-ons. Check out the trailer below alongside an official description.

Originally created by legendary game designer Sid Meier, Civilization is a turn-based strategy game in which you attempt to build an empire to stand the test of time. Explore a new land, research technology, conquer your enemies, and go head-to-head with history’s most renowned leaders as you attempt to build the greatest civilization the world has ever known.”

This won’t be the first time Civilization VI has been ported to a console, as the game got a surprise release for Nintendo Switch earlier this year. Switch and PlayStation 4 players won’t be the only ones getting on the turn-based strategy train, as Civilization VI has also been confirmed for release on Xbox One. In an official post on Twitter, a version for the Microsoft console was also confirmed to be available upon release.

Civilization VI releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 22nd. The game is currently out for iOS, Linux, Mac, Nintendo Switch and PC.
