Chun-Li Gameplay Revealed For Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid (VIDEO)

Chun-Li Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid

Developer nWay’s roster-packed fighting game Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid may already boast some of the most formidable beings to ever step into the Morphin Grid, but the likes of the iconic Street Fighter franchise are now also primed to join the fray. Announced last month as part of an official collaboration, Ryu and Chun-Li from Capcom’s iconic arcade staple were confirmed to be on the way, with new gameplay showing now off the butt-kicking prowess of the latter.

Revealed in the footage below, Chun-Li takes over the fight from Ryu as she unleashes her mighty-legged fury on a series of foes. The trailer notably shows the character donning her very own Power Ranger-style armor while also utilizing several signature techniques from Street Fighter such as the spinning bird and lighting kick attacks. We also get a nice look at an alternate costume for Chun-Li, which reimagines the character as she might have appeared as a fellow “teenager with attitude” in Angel Grove’s Class of ’93.

Battle For The Grid is set to debut its awaited Street Fighter DLC on May 25th for the price of $12.50 USD. While this newest trailer is undoubtedly spectacular, Chun-Li’s crime-fighting stint as the Blue Phoenix Ranger is only one-half of the upcoming content. nWay previously showcased Ryu as the Crimson Hawk Ranger last month, with a more recent trailer also showing off the brawler’s own 90s-inspired attire as he ditches his iconic martial arts gi for a stylish leather jacket look.

Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid is out now for PC, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility.
