Life is Strange fans were treated to an unexpected surprise from Square Enix and DONTNOD with the reveal of a new game set in the LiS universe. The new title “The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit” takes place in the same universe, exploring many similar themes from other titles in the Life is Strange realm.

The video opens with the kind of music and art fans have come to expect. We follow a young boy whose imaginative stories seem to come to life, transporting him to new worlds and revealing awesome powers. See for yourself in the incredibly heartwarming video below:

Of course, Captain Spirit wouldn’t be a game set in this universe without tons of feels. The video reveals a child who has a troubled home life and difficulty making friends at school. Escaping to an imaginary world, he becomes the kind of hero people would admire and one perhaps we have all imagined ourselves being at one time or another as children. Overall the game looks fun and imaginative, and it promises the same kind of feelings fans got from previous titles in this universe.
