Call of Duty: Warzone Receives New Limited-Time Trios Game Mode
Call of Duty: Warzone recently saw some backlash with the move to teams of 4 instead of trios, and as a result it looks like the developers are bringing it back. While four-man squads will be the main source of the battle royale experience in Warzone, there’s plenty of fun to be had with trios. In fact, a new game mode has arrived specifically for three-man squads playing to the strengths of long-distance and close-range combat.
A recent blog post from Activision shares details on the weekly updates coming to the Call of Duty: Warzone including a new game mode called Scopes and Scatterguns that removes the normal loot table from drops in the map and replaces them with an abundance of snipers and shotguns. The mode is available for trios only, so it’ll be interesting to see how players handle themselves. Will you be getting up close and personal, or will you try to fight from a safe distance?

The developers have been hard at work on keeping Call of Duty: Warzone fresh and exciting for players with new skins to collect, game mode rotations, and more. They’ve also been taking some initiative at maintaining the game’s overall health by recently banning over 70,000 cheaters.
Call of Duty: Warzone is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, complete with a well done cross-play system.
