Bully Voice Actor Wants To Reprise His Role In A Sequel (VIDEO)
The 2006 action-adventure game ‘Bully’ undeniably stands up as one of the more classic Rockstar Games titles. While its popularity is of course dwarfed by the likes of Grand Theft Auto, Bully was nonetheless an excellent game and one that may soon be spawning a sequel, one that voice actor Gerry Rosenthal would love to be a part of.
The original voice actor for Bully protagonist Jimmy Hopkins, Gerry Rosenthal – now working as a musician – recently expressed his interest in returning to the gaming industry to reprise his role as the troublesome child from the original game. The news comes by way of the SWEGTA YouTube channel, which recently posted a video titled ‘Gerry’s Message To The BULLY Community’ wherein the titular musician stated that, while he doesn’t really do any acting anymore, he’d happily jump back in should Rockstar Games come calling. The video can be seen below:
“So far, they haven’t come calling,” Rosenthal revealed. “I know there’s lots of rumors floating around there, but so far I can’t confirm.” Rosenthal is likely at least partially referencing a casting call that went out last year, though that isn’t saying much as concept art for a potential sequel was leaked roughly two years ago. The important thing to note here is that, if a Bully 2 does at some point happen, the voice actor for Jimmy Hopkins is fully onboard.
The original Bully is now available for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii.
So, thoughts on the message from Gerry Rosenthal? Would you be interested in playing as Jimmy Hopkins in a sequel, or would you prefer a new protagonist?
