Collider reported on the barrage of new casting choice announcements made by Lionsgate for the live-action Borderlands movie. Perhaps the most notable for the franchise’s fans is the Borderlands movie Moxxi casting choice. Gina Gershon, perhaps best known for her work in films like Face/Off and P.S. I Love You, has been recruited to portray the infamous Underdome hostess. Broadway actor Cheyenne Jackson has also been tapped to portray Jakobs and Trial & Error’s Steven Boyer has been cast as Scooter the mechanic.

Also among the talent joining the cast are Charles Babalola as the cyborg Sir Hammerlock and Benjamin Byron Davis as arms dealer Marcus. Rounding out the new announcements is Ryann Redmond as Moxxi’s daughter Ellie, and Bobby Lee as Larry, who is reportedly a new character not seen in any of the existing Borderlands games. All of these new actors join the previously announced talent, including Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, and Jack Black as the voice of Clap-Trap.

Filming has already reportedly begun this past month in Budapest, so it is likely all of these new faces are already on site of the production. Hopefully, fans approve of the Borderlands movie Moxxi, as well as the rest of these versions of the characters. The film’s version of Pandora is certainly not going to be under-populated. That’s for sure.
