The Borderlands 3 gameplay reveal trailer wasn’t the only thing that came out of today’s event, as Gearbox also discussed some of what fans can look forward to in regards to loot and co-op gameplay. First and foremost, it was revealed that the loot system within Borderlands 3 would be instanced, essentially meaning that each player within a particular game would receive their own loot drops, thereby eliminating ‘loot ninjas.’ It was also revealed that co-op would feature level scaling, so scenarios wouldn’t occur where one higher level player does all the damage while the other, lower level player(s) do minuscule amounts.
With the first official gameplay trailer for Borderlands 3 having been released, it shouldn’t be long before Gearbox decides to let us in on even more details as we approach the game’s release date. Borderlands 3 will release on September 13, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
