Awesome Games Done Quick 2019 Speedrun List Revealed

Games Done Quick has always been a shining example of the good that can come out of playing video games, with a reported $2.2 million being raised by Awesome Games Done Quick in the year 2018. Now, the folks over at Awesome Games Done Quick have revealed its list of games that will be speedrun for charity in the year 2019.

Revealed over on the organization’s official website, the list is not an actual schedule, rather it is a list of games approved by the committee for speedrunning. Said list details the speedrunner, the attempted goal and time limit, as well as the name of the game and the console it will be played on. The compilation begins with SNES game ActRaiser 2, and goes all the way down the alphabet to Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic! Here are some of the notable inclusions:

  • Castlevania Symphony of the Night – The hugely popular Castlevania game will be tackled by speedrunner Satoryu, who plans on completing the game with Alucard in only 16 minutes.
  • Cuphead – Well-known speedrunner TheMexicanRunner has his sights set on clearing Cuphead with all S&P Grades in one hour and 10 minutes. This is a bonus game.
  • NieR: Automata – The sweeping Square Enix epic will be attempted by Fullest, targeting the [E] ending on Normal difficulty with a goal of four hours and 30 minutes.
  • Shadow of the Colossus (PS4 remaster) – The recently released remaster will be attempted by ChurchNEOH, who will be gunning for the Boss Rush (NTA) with a target goal of 50 minutes.
