Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Offers Exclusive Weapons for Eating Totino’s
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will offer their hungriest players a chance to gain exclusive weapons through an unconventional method. Ubisoft has partnered with Totino’s to help players gain the upper hand on their enemies.
For a limited time, players can get codes for buying Totino’s pizza, pizza rolls, and other products. These codes can help unlock bonus in-game items and boosts for Alexios or Kassandra. Unfortunately for international gamers (or fortunately, depending on your perspective), the offer is only valid in the United States.
The first code you enter earns you an XP boost. The second provides the Horn of Aries Sickle Sword, while the third grants the Bighorn Bow. Further codes unlock additional XP boosts, with a maximum of 12 codes. If you want to level up quickly, make sure you stock up on Totino’s. (Never thought I’d write that sentence.)
Because Ubisoft wasn’t done forging unholy alliances, Walmart shoppers can earn one extra reward. If players buy the 120-count party pack of pizza rolls at Walmart, they earn a unique item. Buying ten dozen pizza rolls is the only way you can unlock the weapon. Hopefully, you’re either very hungry or very comfortable throwing away food.
Furthermore, Ubisoft and Totino’s are giving away a copy of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, an Xbox One X, and multiple other items. All you have to do is eat more pizza rolls and enter more codes on this weird website!
This is actually the second time Totino’s has launched this marketing campaign. They previously offered a similar deal for the release of Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. It must have been a success for them to repeat the offer with another video game.
Traditionally, completionists need to grind to get every in-game item. As more and more games branch out into the real world, however, that may no longer be the case. You can conjure up plenty of nonsensical combinations with little effort. Maybe we’ll have to buy a few Crave Cases from White Castle when Red Dead Redemption 2 drops for a unique gun. Perhaps eating ten Big Macs could unlock a unique sniper rifle in The Division 2. The possibilities are endless.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey releases on October 5 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
