Apex Legends Reveals New "Voidwalker" Event Centered Around Wraith

There’s been quite a lot of divisiveness in the Apex Legends community as of late. The battle royale title’s latest event, Iron Crown, brought with it loads of new cosmetics and features, though the price tags associated with the purchasable loot boxes for said event had players heading for the hills, while members of the player base were slinging insults back and forth with multiple Respawn Entertainment employees on the forums. The show, of course, must go on, and Respawn has unveiled the first batch of details for the game’s upcoming ‘Voidwalker’ event, featuring the lady herself, Wraith.

Apex Legends Reveals New "Voidwalker" Event Centered Around Wraith

Revealed as the latest special in-game event, Voidwalker is set to launch on September 3rd and is bringing with it a new location for players to fight in and around called Project: Wraith. “Syndicate construction crews have unearthed part of a decayed Project: Wraith facility in Kings Canyon,” Respawn revealed about the new location. “Jump in to discover for yourself the mysterious remains of the research site, including a functional prototype portal that can be used to get an early jump on the base – or to escape and reinitiate skydive. And be sure to keep an eye out for other hidden lore details.”

Just like how the Iron Crown event brought with it a limited-time Solos mode, the Voidwalker event is also accompanied by a new mode called “Armed and Dangerous,” where the only weapons available are snipers and shotguns. Completing missions within this event will unlock a slew of new player badges and other cosmetics.

The Apex Legends Voidwalker event begins on September 3rd and ends on September 17th.
