Apex Legends Leak Reveals Flamethrower Weapon, New NPCs, And More

Apex Legends: Best Drop Points To Find The Best Loot

It appears that things are about to heat up in popular battle royale title Apex Legends. A new batch of leaks have been uncovered that points to a few new weapons coming to Kings Canyon, along with the possible addition of NPCs and a new night time mode.

As usual, the news comes by way of the folks over at @RealApexLeaks, which uncovered some interesting references within the files of the game. User @AustinScriver made the discovery that references both a flamethrower and a remote turret. The leaks can be seen below:

Can you picture a Caustic casually strolling through his ult while firing a flamethrower? I certainly can, and it’s terrifying. Moving on, the other substantial leak refers to what appears to be hostile NPCs that are being added to the game. It is still unknown what they will be used for, though a solid guess would be a revamped version of the game’s training area, which currently only features a chatty Bloodhound and Pathfinder. Said leak can be seen below:

Given the ever-increasing popularity of Apex Legends, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Respawn interested in shipping a more in-depth training mode for players, so it is possible that these NPCs will help out by providing some more offensive targets for players to practice on. This is of course a leak, and should be taken with a grain of salt. That said, datamine-based leaks have been fairly accurate thus far, so we should see official word from the developer soon.

Apex Legends is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
