In case you are unfamiliar, here’s the rundown for American Gods so you’re not going in blind:

The novel itself is a fictional tale that centers around Shadow Moon. While in prison, he learns of his wife’s death and is later released to take on the role of assistant/bodyguard to Mr. Wednesday. Little does Shadow Moon know, but Mr. Wednesday is actually a powerful deity with the goal in mind to reclaim what he lost and his rightful glory. The story follows Shadow Moon and crew as they being their journey to build an army and face off against New Gods – a battle of epic proportions. Not to mention that Shadow Moon’s wife comes back thanks to a leprechaun’s coin – there are definitely a few twists and turns that this adventure brings in true Gaiman style.

Do you “believe”? We’re starting to with this epic cast! Here’s the main roster so far:

  • Ricky Whittle – Shadow Moon
  • Ian McShane – Mr. Wednesday
  • Emily Browning – Laura Moon
  • Pablo Screiber – Mad Sweeney
  • Bruce Langley – Technical Boy
  • Yetide Badaki – Bilquis
  • Gillian Anderson – Media
  • Demore Barnes – Mr. Ibis
  • Crispin Glover – Mr. World
  • Dane Cook – Robbie

And more! You can see the full cast right here. Another fantastic tid-bit is if you don’t have Starz, that’s OK! Mr. Gaiman himself tweeted that the show will be available on Amazon Prime as well after it airs, which is fantastic news for fans internationally!
