Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Mod Unlocks Much Higher FPS
FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has only been out for a few days now, and already modders are hard at work doing anything and everything they can to, let’s be honest here, make things weird. That aside, one crafty modder has found a way to unlock the game’s cap of 60 FPS on PC, which should intrigue those of you out there with powerful gaming rigs.
Simply titled Sekiro_FPS, the mod was posted over on Widescreen Gaming Forum by user jackfuste, and it is still in the testing phase, so proceed with caution. Those that do install the mod and get it to work, however, should be able to jack up their FPS up past 100, which should let Sekiro run even more buttery smooth than it already does.
Those looking to test it out will need to download the mod from the above link and unpack Sekiro using Steamless. Then, run the patcher and apply said patch to Sekiro.exe. Keep in mind that this is modding that we’re talking about, and it should only be done by those experienced enough to do so. That said, it may be worth the risk for those looking for the ultimate experience in Sekiro.
If there are any issues getting the mod to work, the post in the Widescreen Gaming Forum also has helpful tips and troubleshooting ideas that users can try out. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Those looking to check out our review round-up can do so right here.
